SPRING 2015: shopping efficiently

Hello Sassies! 

Good news: SPRING IS ON IT'S WAY!!!
And that can only mean one thing; spring/ summer shopping. With all the glitz and glam we can see from all the designer spring/summer 2015 collections that it's going to be an amazing year for our wardrobes. 



However: today's post will be on how to shop in an efficient way and make sure that you don't just splurge your money everywhere in a matter of seconds. If you follow these simple steps, you will find shopping more enjoyable for you and your wallet: 

1. Do an inventory 

Look through your closet and ask yourself; do I need shirts? Pants? Maybe a new pair of shoes? Just write em' all down and even make a list if it pleases you. Got 13 pairs of shoes? Do you really need a new pair? It's these sort of questions that stimulate the neurons and make you think twice before going all out.




2. Wants VS Needs

When shopping and contemplating a garment, ask yourself: do I want this item or do I need it. YES! There IS a difference!!! If you're low on shirts and you like a shirt, then go ahead but if you've got 10 000, what exactly is the point?





3. Long term VS short term

If, for example, you're hesitating between a nice shirt for $60 and another nice shirt for $80. Which one should you buy? 
Correct answer: the one you know you'll wear for the longest period of time. What's the point in spending money for a shirt you'll wear once and the toss aside?
Better safe than sorry with a shirt you'll wear for a long time! 




4. Save up

All girls love the feeling of having A lot of money in their wallets and the idea of being able to spend it. Enjoy that moment and once you've made a list of things you need, and give yourself a budget. There's nothing worse than being completely broke!!!!

YOU: who are you?

Hey Sassies,

Sorry I haven't written in weeks, but you know, school can get pretty overbearing. Anyway, today I'm going to be talking about: 

FINDING OUT WHO YOU ARE!!!!

As girls, it's natural for us to wonder what kind of person we want to be. Now let's get one thing straight, this post isn't going to be me talking about different kinds of people, but I'll be giving you tips on how to help yourself bloom as a person! 

1. Make a list of all the things you love!
Whether it's going to the movies, shopping, hanging out with your family, anything will do. 






2. Think!
What kind of person do YOU think you are? Are you funny? Are you kind? Are you attentive to people's needs? Are you the kind of person who's always there for your friends? If you just sit down and think about it, I guarantee, you'll find the answer! 



3. Act! 
Do things that make you feel good and confident like dancing, singing, drawing, acting, modeling, etc. Just do something that makes you feel like you're sitting on top of the world.
4. Shake it off!
If there's one thing I've learned about life is that it'll just keep throwing obstacles at you: haters, hard work, problems... But when that happens, just think: you only live once, what can any of these things do to you? Nothing unless you let them!

HAIR 2015: snap snap kiss kiss!

Hello Sassies!

Today I'll be doing a post on hair. yes. hair. It's important to feel beautiful and comfortable with how you look and hair is a major part of that! 

Go for something fun, something that you like! However if you're going for what's trendy, here are a few ideas:

1. Bob

As you might have noticed, a lot of girls with long hair are snapping those long lush locks off to get a cute looking bob. 





2.  Shoulder-length 

If you don't want to cut it too short, I suggest a shoulder-length haircut because it looks mature and its just cute!




But just remember, you are not defined but your looks, it's what's on the inside and who you are as a person that counts!

YOGA: stylish in sportswear

Hello Sassies! 


Now as you all know, we're in the middle of winter and it's getting harder to stay beautiful and in shape, seeing as we can't bike or go for a jog without freezing!

I'm going to talk to you about something I use to stay fit and healthy during the snow season. Yoga. Get a mat, look at some online techniques and your good to go!!! 




Now the question is, how do you rock the pose without being the one wearing baggy pants and a sweaty tee. Leggings are a must have for this winter and seeing as its all grey and snowy, the colours are... THE EXACT OPPOSITE!!! Bring in the colour with pastel colours and rainbow prints for this season's women indoor sportswear!!!

2015 GLOW: new you, new body!

Hello Sassies!

So today I'm going to talk about feeling good: in your body! For those of you who are teenagers, I think you can relate to the feeling of not being happy and comfortable in your body, if not than you're a very lucky person! I've been feeling kind of gross lately so I definitely wanted to do a post on how I managed to go back to normal and how to feel good in your body;) :

1. Eat well!
First of all, I'm no nutritionist, I'm just mentioning what makes me feel good and that's healthy food! I know, I know we'd all just love to sit around and eat: 


This all day but unfortunately if we do so, our svelte figures will disappear:( it's important to eat foods that make you feel fresh and good but that doesn't mean cut out all the sweets!(thank goodness!) 
It just means to lean towards:

Stuff like this with a treat every once and a while;)

2. Work out!
You don't have to be an Olympic athlete to have a nice body, but if you're just sitting around like a couch potato, go for a jog or hop onto that bike! I can 100% guarantee you'll feel 10 times better plus the shower afterwards will feel like heaven!



3. Drink water!
I swear it'll drain all the yuck you're feeling inside you and you'll feel much much lighter! Water is SOO good for you plus it feels great to just have a cold glass of it whenever! I drink 2 litres a day and I've honestly never felt more alive, so try it!

HAPPY 2015: motivation

I HAPPY NEW YEAR SASSIES! 







Omg I'm so sorry I haven't gotten this post in and it is a little late on my behalf but happy new year!

Many of my friends have told me what their resolutions are but what I noticed is that all of them included motivation in their long lists of resolutions. So I've decided to make motivation the subject of this post and this year! Everyone loves the new year because it's a chance to recreate yourself, become a new person! 







Now let's talk about the theme! What is motivation? To me it's the will to learn, the desire to succeed and the power to be awesome! Some of you may think me to be a bit to...how to say? too confident but hey! we each got our quirks right?

That's my resolution, to work harder and be the best me that I can be! What are your New Years resolutions?

WILL.I.AM: the will to be great!


Hi guys so today I'm doing a special on: the one, the only, the magnificent WILL.I.AM!!!! 







So he's been my role model from day one and I'd like to share with you the reasons I think he's awesome: 

- He started from nothing and now he's like one of the most famous people of all! 
He didn't have the best childhood and now everything he does evolves around helping kids who live in bad neighbourhoods.




- His biggest accomplishments is I.AM.STEAM, a foundation he created to help educate underprivileged kids and teenagers in bad neighbourhoods. So now he's making sure that he's giving all these people bigger and better opportunities in life. 




- He created the black eyed peas which I think is so cool because it takes a lot of courage to create a band let alone lead it to the Grammys and Music Awards! 





In conclusion, we should all try to contribute to society as much as Will.i.am  because if he can make a difference, why can't we?
